What is the Moneyback Policy
The Moneyback Policy is a policy of a Prorated Refund if your book does not get the number of downloads we specify as the 'Guaranteed Downloads' number.
What does that mean?
It means that if we don't get you the number of guaranteed downloads, we give you a prorated refund! If We Get You only 90% of the Downloads we Guarantee, then we refund you 10% of the money we took from you.
If we get you only 85% of guaranteed downloads, then you get 15% of your money back.
IMPORTANT: 95% of Book Slots match or exceed Guaranteed Downloads. You will almost certainly see as many downloads as we guarantee.
Only 5% of Book Slots require a refund.

What does Prorated Refund Mean?
We guarantee the Number of Free Book Downloads! If you don't get the specified number you get a prorated refund.What that means is that if you get 3/4th of the guaranteed downloads, then we refund you 1/4th of your money back.
Please Note: 95% of Book Slot Promotions get as many downloads as promised or more. Only a mere 5% require refunds.

The Process
A) First, you email us the book you want us to include in our Free Book Lists. If your Book meets our criteria, we will email you back the following things -
1) Estimated Downloads Range. This has NOTHING to do with Moneyback Guarantee. This is just our estimate of what downloads your books might get over two days.
2) Guaranteed Downloads Number. This is the minimum number of downloads we are guaranteeing your book will get over two days. The day we mention it and the next days. If your book isn't free all days (days of mention, the next day after day of mention), then the Moneyback Guarantee doesn't stand. If your book is not free throughout the day on all days, then the Moneyback Guarantee doesn't stand.
Please Note: Many of our channels are things like blogs and websites where users visit WHEN THEY WANT. Some users visit at night. Some early in the morning. Some in the afternoon. Some every other day. Because of this our downloads are 'spread over 2 or 3 days (depending on what we email you) and are not all on the first day.
3) Price & Date. This is what you'll have to pay and the date on which the book will be sent out. The amount has to be paid within 3 days of us sending you the invoice. This has to be paid BEFORE your book is mentioned. In some cases we might be able to fit in last minute requests. However, in general, please ensure you contact us at least 3 days BEFORE the date you want a slot for.
Please Note: Please also read the Terms of Service. By using our service you agree that under no condition shall the amount refunded to you, or compensated to you, for any reason whatsoever, be more than that paid by you to us. If you sue us for any reason, the amount you can sue for is limited to what you paid us. Please read the Terms of Service.
B) Second, you reply to our email and either agree or disagree. If you disagree, there are no further steps. Sorry, but we don't negotiate the slot rates. If you agree, then you have to pay within 3 days of us sending you the invoice. The sooner the better.
C) Third, the book goes out on the agreed on date (the date we specify and which you agree to).
D) Fourth, the day of the mention and the day after, the book gets downloads from our email newsletters and from our various sites and blogs. Due to increase in sales rank and visiblity it might also get downloads from other places and from the various lists in the stores. The total downloads across these two days (or three days if we specify 'three days' in our email to you) is what is used to check against the 'Guaranteed Downloads' number we give you.
For Example: We guarantee you 1,000 downloads for your book. Your book is free Tue and Wed. Tue it gets 550 downloads and Wed it gets 750 downloads. The total is 1,300. That is greater than 1,000 (the Guaranteed Downloads number we gave you). So everything is fine.
E) Fifth, you check your downloads. If total downloads over two days (or three days if we specify 'three days' in our email to you) are greater than our Guaranteed Downloads number, then everything is fine. If not, then let us know and we'll refund you. You will have to email us a screenshot showing download figures so we can verify that downloads are less than what we guaranteed.
Prorated Refund is valid on ALL Slots.
How soon will you get the Refund?
99% of the time we'll refund you within 1 day of you emailing us and letting us know a refund is required.
Please Note: If you payment hasn't cleared, or if there is some other exceptional circumstance such as us being on vacation, then your refund might be delayed. Currently, 99% of refunds happen within 1 day of authors emailing us - usually within a few hours of us reading the author's email specifying a refund is required.
Please Note: Some Paypal payments take 3 to 7 days to clear. We can't refund you if your payment hasn't cleared and reached our account.
Is it a Full Refund? By when Do I have to Ask for a Refund?
No, it's a prorated refund. If we specify 1,000 downloads and get you 800, then we refund you 20% of your money.
What if You are running other Promotions?
We only control downloads via our sites and blogs. We can only guarantee 'total downloads' for your book. We do not give any guarantees of the nature of
EITHER
1) You'll get X downloads on top of what you got last time you did a free promotion.
OR
2) You'll get Y downloads on top of what some other site promises you.
Please don't contact us with something of the nature of - Yes, I got 2,000 downloads but your guarantee was 1,500 and I know my sister's cousin put it on Twitter and that must have gotten 1,999 downloads. So your site just got me 1 download.
The Guarantee is ONLY for Total Downloads across the number of days specified in our email to you (usually two or three days).
